FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS (June 9, 2026) – First Security Bank has announced the promotion of Alex Chaffin to Fayetteville market president. This advancement reflects Chaffin’s extensive experience, strong leadership, and commitment to serving customers and the community.

In his new role, Chaffin will lead market strategy, growth and performance for the Fayetteville region while continuing to strengthen relationships across the business community, nonprofit organizations and government sectors. He will focus on driving strategic growth while upholding First Security Bank’s core values of relationship-first service, local decision-making, community involvement and trust.

Chaffin began his career with First Security Bank in October 2020 as a credit analyst, where he initially supported the Paycheck Protection Program. He quickly advanced and was promoted to vice president in lending in 2024. Additionally, he has played an active role in training analysts and collaborating with lending teams to enhance credit quality and consistency.

Prior to joining First Security Bank, Chaffin spent four years with HoganTaylor (formerly JPMS Cox) on the
tax team, where he prepared tax returns for a wide range of businesses and individuals. He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Arkansas. Originally from Little Rock, Chaffin now calls Fayetteville home.
